Why is brown sugar healthier than white sugar?

White sugar is a carbohydrate that turns into fat and causes other problems. Brown sugar is brown sugar made by adding molasses to white sugar. Other than that, it is the same as white sugar. So if you want “healthy” sugar, keep it in a container of sugar, not in food or in your body.

Comparing types of sugar:

White sugar has the same composition as granulated sugar, but because the crystals are small, it dissolves easily. Perfect for baking, especially light biscuits and meringues.

All three sugars share the same moderate glycemic index or GI of 65, which is much lower than pure glucose 100.

Raw sugar and coffee sugar crystals are made from sugar cane juice and are colored is golden in color. Nutritionally, it is almost the same as white sugar.

It’s 99% sucrose and contains a few minerals, but not enough to provide greater health benefits than white sugar.

Consisting of 95% sucrose and 5% he molasses, brown sugar adds toffee flavor and moisture, but doesn’t offer as many nutritional benefits as white sugar.
